Background

See Us Unite is a cultural campaign dedicated to promoting solidarity, education, and action in support of the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. In partnership with The Asian American Foundation (TAAF), Wondros was engaged to create a microsite that would amplify the campaign’s message, provide essential information and resources, and encourage users to engage through learning, sharing, and giving.

Project Overview

Wondros was tasked with designing and developing an interactive microsite that would serve as the central digital platform for the See Us Unite campaign. The site needed to educate users about the movement’s mission, inspire participation on social media, and drive donations to support initiatives aimed at combating Asian hate. A phased rollout ensured a strategic launch, content expansion, and reliable ongoing support.

Project Goals

The primary goal of the See Us Unite Microsite was to drive:

  • Education & Awareness – Inform users about the movement’s mission and the importance of standing against Asian hate.
  • Community Engagement – Inspire individuals to share their stories on social media using the #seeusunite hashtag.
  • Donation Support – Encourage users to donate personally or through employer-sponsored giving challenges in support of the Stop Asian Hate movement.
  • The project was structured into three phases to ensure a smooth rollout and ongoing site maintenance.

Scope

To achieve these goals, Wondros developed a three-phase microsite strategy:

  • Phase One: Initial Launch
    • Created a landing page linking to external resources.
    • Featured a strong call-to-action (CTA) to the “Give” page for donations.
  • Phase Two: Full Microsite Expansion
    • Built additional subpages, including:
      • Mission – Explaining the campaign’s purpose and impact.
      • Unite – Encouraging community engagement and solidarity.
      • Educate – Providing educational resources about Asian American history and current issues.
      • Share – Promoting social media participation through the #seeusunite campaign.
  • Phase Three: Ongoing Maintenance & Support (6 Months)
    • Provided bug fixes, link repairs, and content updates.
    • Maintained email, URL, and visual content accuracy (e.g., photography, graphics, and video replacements).
    • Ensured functionality and user accessibility across all pages.

Results & Benefits

  • Amplified Awareness & Education – The microsite became a central hub for learning and engagement, strengthening the movement’s reach.
  • Increased Community Participation – Encouraged individuals to share their experiences and unite against Asian hate.
  • Streamlined Donation Pathways – Provided a seamless donation experience to help fund initiatives supporting the AAPI community.
  • Ongoing Campaign Support – A six-month maintenance plan ensured the site remained functional, updated, and accessible.

This project reinforced the power of digital advocacy in mobilizing communities, fostering education, and driving meaningful action in the fight against Asian hate.
